Martin Lewis’s life is in shambles—freshly dumped and stuck in a rut, he’s going nowhere fast. That is, until he stumbles into a support group for the heartbroken and meets Russell, a charismatic but unhinged guy with his own romantic troubles. Joe Furey is an Emmy-nominated television comedy writer, producer, director, and actor with an extensive career in both TV and film. He has written and produced for acclaimed shows such as NewsRadio, starring Phil Hartman and Dave Foley, Late Night with David Letterman, for which he received an Emmy nomination, Watching Ellie with Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and the animated series Sammy, featuring David Spade. His most recent project was a sitcom pilot sold to NBC.
In addition to television, Furey has made a mark in independent film. He wrote, directed, and starred in Love and Support, an indie comedy that premiered at multiple U.S. film festivals and won Best Screenplay at the Dances With Films International Festival in Los Angeles. He also wrote, produced, directed, and acted in the short film The Messenger, which was featured on PBS’s Off-Hollywood and screened at various festivals, including the Independent Feature Film Project in New York. His earlier work, Through an Open Window, debuted to critical acclaim at both the Cannes and Sundance Film Festivals.
A graduate of the State University of New York at Purchase, Furey was awarded the prestigious Nancy Jo Ables Scholarship for film. His entertainment career began early—he worked as a professional child actor, appearing in over seventy national television commercials before transitioning to writing and directing.

Pat Finn, a Wilmette, Illinois native, is one of six children. After graduating from Loyola Academy and Marquette University in 1987, he moved to Chicago, working as a beer salesman before joining the Second City National Touring Company and performing with ImprovOlympic. He later wrote and performed in two Second City resident shows before landing a role on The George Wendt Show. Finn has had recurring roles on Murphy Brown, Third Rock from the Sun, and Ed, along with guest spots on Friends, Seinfeld, The Drew Carey Show, That ’70s Show, and more. His film credits include Dude, Where’s My Car?, The Bachelor, and How High. A successful commercial actor, he has appeared in campaigns for Got Milk?, Sony PlayStation, DiGiorno Pizza, and others. He continues to perform improv weekly at ImprovOlympic West in L.A., where his ensemble show Beer, Shark, Mice was named Improv Group of the Year at the Chicago Improv Festival.
Kristin Dattilo is an Italian American actress, comedian, writer, and producer known for her work in award-winning shows such as The Chris Isaak Show, Dexter, Southland, and Friends, as well as collaborations with acclaimed filmmakers like the Coen brothers and David Fincher. She gained recognition starring as “Janie” in Aerosmith’s iconic music video Janie’s Got a Gun and also appeared in a Crosby, Stills & Nash video. Dattilo began her acting career at sixteen and has since starred in over thirteen television series, numerous made-for-TV movies, blockbuster films, and guest roles in hit shows. In 2013, she expanded into writing and producing for television and film and is currently developing multiple projects that encompass acting, writing, and producing.
